Blessings and love to all Atma,
There are many symbols of Hinduism available like vibuthi , pottu, scriptures , temples etc. One of the sacred and important symbols are rudraksha beads. Rudraksha means tears of Lord Siva. It reminds us of Lord Siva when we wear it. Why do we need a reminder ? We are too busy with our job, business, family, and our worldly lives. So by wearing rudraksha around our neck, we will be in God consciousness.
From a health standpoint rudraksha improves the blood circulation in our body. So our general health improves. This is due to the electro-magnetic effects of the rudraksha. In China, Korea, Japan and Indonesia many wear the beads as necklaces with the combination of the rudraksha and other semi precious stones for health purposes. I have even seen hats made from small rudraksha beads that are used to treat migraines with great success.
Rudraksha also helps to reduce stress and gives a clarity to your thinking that is absent when we are under stress and the fight or flight reflex is present.
Rudraksha becomes one of your protective tool as well. When you wear it, there will be many devas and spiritual beings around you. They will protect you from negativity.
There are many faces/mukhis rudraksha available, from 1 mukhi to 21, garbha gauri, gauri shankara, ganesha rudraksha etc. Different faces/mukhis denotes different deities and they gives out different type energies which improves many areas of human life like the health issues, financial crisis, education improvement, spiritual unfoldment, relationship dilemma, planetary effects like Sani etc. Depends on the goals we have and the benefits we want, we wear the appropriate faces/mukhi and or combination.
