18.09.2017 From the Desk of Artha Dharma : Challenges with Hindu Community and what we can do about it

Vanakam
Bless all , love all

Recently I attended a Hindu Regional Forum in Kuala Lumpur  and would like to give some input and what we could do to solve the current issues with our Hindu community especially with our Hindu youth.
There were many speakers giving their point of view on various way of solving our issues with our children and youth. Most of them were swamis who are residing in Malaysia and running various religious and spiritual activities
One of the speaker who was ex police guy , retired and had 37 years of experiences in police was sharing some very astonishing information.
There were 5 issues and below are the points
1. Criminal activities
Our boys are very much involve in massive criminal activities - killing, stealing, drugs etc.
2. Gangsterism
Many of our youth are in gangs and have numbering and symbols/ tattoo in their body. Numbers like 04, 08, Satu hati etc. Even one  group uses Sanskrit Aum as their gang symbol.
3. Liquor
Drinking is becoming a norm among our young people and they drink so much that they continue  drinking at least for 12 to 24 hours. Imagine amount of money spent to drink. They do this especially during marriage or funeral or birthday party.
4. Celebration with fire crackers

This is a big problem especially during the funeral of the gang leaders where massive fire crackers activities on the road causing traffic jams with banners everywhere showing the number and symbol of the gang.
5. Animal Sacrifice
Massive animal sacrifices are carried out in temples especially Muniandi or Muniswaran temples which is supported by successful business people.

Solution

The basic ground or the foundation is the home. It all starts from the home and extends to the school and the surroundings.Mother plays a very important role in molding the children through her care love and affection. Father plays the important role as the role model , being the head of the family , teaching discipline and decision making. If the parents are abusing each other at home, drinking and smoking and vulgar words and activities are going on at home, then this will be a terrible  example for them to duplicate and practice in their life at the later stage when they grow. Parents cannot pass on the religious/spiritual knowledge to their children as they themselves don't know about it. The Gurukulam structure which is was suppose to help mold them  in that area was broken when it reached Malaysia. This gurukulam plays a very important role in the life of our children and youth. They build and mold the individuals with basic laws or fundamentals of Hinduism/Spirituality like the law of karma, law of dharma, pancha nitya karmas etc. They will learn about themselves, who am I , where did I come from where am I going and what is my path. Those information and teachings will be available through the guidance of the spiritual master or guru. There are quite number of gurukulams in Malaysia and also many religious bodies who conduct devaram classes , religion classes , religious camps during school holidays etc. So find time and send your children to those ashram, gurukulams or camps. Set a serious priority for this. Just like how we are committed for the education of our children by sending them to many motivation seminars, tuition classes , mind mapping programs, memory improvements programs which help the to become better student and do well in their exam and develop success in their career. What about their self transformation personality through their religious practices and sadhana. Not important ? Think about it.
Parents also need to take serious effort to know about their children, how they doing in school, who are their friends, look into their rooms and check out from time to time, check their hand phone, Facebook, Instagram , . be their best friends etc. Spend time in their interest and get closer to them. Make time, time doesn't wait for you.  Not just working and working , and busy with your work or job.
We as an individual too can play an important role in our community. It is our dharma and responsibility to give back to community. You can be part of an activities that are conducted by the religious bodies, organizations , ashrams or gurukulams by providing financial assistance. Or you could take up the role as the religious/spiritual teacher conducting classes in temples , schools especially Tamil schools or your surroundings. You can be a qualified teacher by going through trainings conducted by various religious organization. Now is the time. You could see the results in 5 to 10 years.

The bottom line is love, love and love. Accept your children who they are, show your love and compassion to them, encourage them, motivate them, build strong relationships with them, be their best friend and biggest cheerleader, teach them gratitude and appreciation and tell them I LOVE YOU.
In conclusion, take serious action, take on the responsibility and it our dharma and duty towards the betterment of our children and community and it starts at home and extends to school or gurukulam through the teacher or spiritual guru/master and that would lead to God through temple worship.

6.06.2017. From the desk of Artha Dharma : Being religious or being spiritual ?

Blessed day to all of you.
May the Divine bless all  of you.

Most of us are quite confused whether we shall be religious or spiritual in nature or both. We always think that both are the same.

Let's see.

Being religious
The first aspect is it is external worship. The external worships involve ritual act which involve fire/homa, puja which include chanting of mantras, abisegam/ablution of the deities, alangaram/decoration, serving naivedyam/food , puja which include chanting of mantras and god's name. All our 5 senses are involve in the external worship. Our eye watch the deity and witness the whole puja, our ears listen to the chanting of the mantras, our tongue taste and feel the water/purified water, , our nose sense the aroma of the incense burning and finally our act of puja which involve our hand - sense of touching. In this external worship, 4 of the panchabhutas are involved, fire which is the jothi, vayu which is chanting of the mantras that creates the positive vibrations, earth which involve the serving of the naivedyam and water which is part of the abisegam and purified water.
The second aspect is that it is an act of seeing God/Goodness in everything around us. It is seeing divinity in all living and non living things.

Being Spiritual
Being spiritual is an internal worship. It is seeing the divinity within you , your true self, the soul , the divine love, divine light and compassionate which is beyond time form and space. It is involves internal uplifting our higher consciousness through the path of meditation. It involve the 5th panchabhuta which is the akasha/space. Through the guidance of a realized master/guru , you could achieve the highest realization which is self -realization or god-realization.

Once you understand both being religious or being spiritual, you realized that both works hand in hand to help to realize your true self.

Please share with all your friends and relatives.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

25.5.2017 From the desk of Artha Dharma : Being proud of being Hindu and its heritage

Vanakam and blessed day to all precious atma. May Lord Ganesha always bless you with an abundance of peace, happiness and wealth.

Lots of energies both positive and negative were generated among our Hindu brothers and sisters here in Malaysia with the issue of people of other faiths belittling our Hindu religion and trying to "break" the peace among our community. Many concerned parents, individuals and also NGOs posted dozens of messages on our social media accounts and made police reports. If you are like me you probably saw hundreds of these posts and thought to yourself,"Well it's bad and I don't like it but what can I do? I'm not a lawyer or an activist I'm just a teacher and business man and a father who doesn't know how to explain this kind of hate to my children."
As such we at Artha Dharma have started a project to have 100,000 people wear a single rudraksha somewhere on their body. It can be worn on the wrist or the neck. One small bead about the size of a 10 sen coin is easy to wear and comfortable as well. Many of us wear red strings from the temple. Why not wear something that shows your pride in your traditions?

There are many symbols in Hinduism that you can wear yourself to show that we are Hindus like pottu, vibuthi, kumkum but we tend to be very shy not to put it on our forehead if we are working or going to school or college. Also in some places, they aren't allowed at all.

There is one symbol that is very sacred and powerful that you can carry yourself without offending anyone but only Hindus know about it. It is rudraksha, the tears of Lord Siva.  It is very powerful, lots of energies and very protective too.

So my challenge to all the Hindus in Malaysia!
Wear a single rudraksha around your neck or around your wrist. Be proud of being Hindu!!!!!!

You can buy the beads from anyone but we have 100% guaranteed genuine beads, 2 pieces for RM 20 only with Free Delivery anywhere in peninsular Malaysia. If you see me around the city I will have a few on me at all times so you can get them straight from me or you can pick them up from my house in Bandar Kinrara. Get as many pieces as possible for your family members and friends. You can also give them to your non-Hindu friends who wish to show their support for our community.  Whenever you see someone wearing it, let's greet each with vanakam and namaskaram. Om Shanti

3 important things for Lord Siva

A Blessed day to all precious atma.

It is our birthright to know about heritage, culture and religion. Gone are the days where our parents and great parents did not pass on the information to us. Nevertheless, with technology and our super Guru Google, we are able to learn and understand our religion.

There are 3 important things for Lord Siva.

1.Sacred ash or called vibuthi.
Vibuthi is very sacred to Lord Siva and it symbolises the final of our self which the body that we carry in our birth, ash. It reminds us that our physical body is not permanent and it turns to the final form ash. The sacred ash also attracts positive beings and in turn, help to progress our life towards betterment.
Look out for an article on vibuthi from Devaram song soon.

2. Pancakshara Mantra
Om Namasivaya is the most powerful mantra for Lord Siva and it is mention in the middle of our sacred scripture Vedas. To get the full benefit of this mantra, you need to get initiated into the mantra through a Spiritual Guru or master. The Pancha buthas and the whole cosmos of creation are contained within the mantra.

3.Rudraksha
Rudraksha means tears of Lord Siva. It is very sacred for lord Siva. It represents spirituality. Many sadhus, yogi, swamis, siddhar and ordinary people wear it.
Rudraksha radiates magnetic energies. This energy is very useful for body and mind. It expands and purifies our energy body which is our aura. Rudraksha is also signifying fearlessness. It gives the individual the braveness to overcome any challenges or adversity.

From the Desk of Artha Dharma : April 14, 2017 Tamil New Year message

Bless and love to all.
Happy Tamil new year to all of you. May the Divine God bless all of you with unlimited love, happiness, joy and abundant of wealth.
Many want to set new goals if their previous goal could not be reached or set new goals for the new year.
Many of us cling to all the past experiences that we go through in our life. These bitter experience especially becomes the obstacles to our life. It brings forth negativity after negativity result some much so that you give up yourself.
How to solve that problem?
Every experience is registered in our subconscious mind. We need to do regular subconscious maintenance to bring forth positivity in our life, just like how you service your car regularity for maintenance. We called is Vasana Daha Tantra.
How to do it?
Every day or every other day, you write down all the experiences that you could remember that happened on that day or in the past on a piece of paper. Keep writing at least 2 or 3 pages. After writing it, take that  paper and burn it in a garbage can. Watch the burning of your subconscious impressions in front of you.
Do regular positive affirmations, with visualisation and feeling. Example: I am a successful businessman etc.
Hope the message will be helpful. If you need more info please contact me +60129259495 or email to ultimateconnection108@gmail.com.

Please share the link to all your friends, relatives and your associates.

Sacred trip to Panching Jalalingeswarar Temple April 29. Why Jalalingeswarar ? Kuantan, Pahang , Malaysia

Bless and love to all.

Why Jalalingeswarar Temple ?

Panching Sivan Temple (Charas Cave) – Kuantan, Pahang

Established majestically to tower its surrounding is the pristine Charas cave, the abode of an immensely mystical Sivalingam. Ascending the steel stairs, as though soaring towards Kailasam, Saivite devotees will bask in the splendor of Panching Sivan temple.  Lord Shiva, the dweller of Saivite hearts, resides in this mystical setting, encouraging devotees to rise into the realms of spirituality. The Sivalingam was brought to the cave in 1989 by Nachitram, a lawyer from Negeri Sembilan. At that time, the lawyer had visited Charas Cave, to a Buddhist Temple which was built nearly a hundred years ago. During his visit there, he met with a ‘Siddhar’ (Indian Sage) in the cave, who advised him to bring a Sivalingam and install in the cave. He had forgotten this spiritual instruction, but was gently reminded by a close associate. He immediately flew to India to purchase the black marble Sivalingam, and got it shipped to Malaysia. Upon returning it to Panching, he was informed by the Buddhist temple that there was never a presence of an Indian man in the caves.

It is believed is that there are several Indian sages who meditate in the cave, but are concealed to the public, however manifest occasionally to dispense spiritual guidance. Dr.Sethugavalar, the temple President, together with other noble Hindus arranged workers to haul the 9 feet tall Sivalingam to the entrance of the cave, an astonishing 150 feet up. From there, the Sivalingam had to be gradually rolled into the cave for distance of another 100 meters for installation, and was placed facing north. The temple committee sought the assistance of a leading temple builder in the country, Sthapati Thannirmalai. The sthapati came to the temple and advised the temple committee that the position of the Sivalingam is currently facing north, but would be more auspicious if facing east. He also mentioned that there should be a Bramapaham for the Shivalingam. After carrying out the sthapati’s instructions, the temple committee arranged a Maha Kumbabhishegam on 8th June 2008 with the participation of 2,000 devotees.

Ir.A.Sivabalan, a contractor by profession and also an expert numerologist, had been giving advice on numerology, changing the karmic patterns of many people. Due to this, he accumulated some of the karmic vibrations of other individuals, and was advised to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva. Twice he had tried to enter Lord Shiva’s temple, but was unsuccessful, obstructed by heavy karmic hindrances. Then, the mystical Lord Shiva from Panching temple appeared in a vision to Ir.A.Sivabalan. In this revelation, he saw a dazzling Sivalingam up in cave on a hill nearby Kuantan. He inquired from his friends on the whereabouts of a Shiva Temple in cave near Kuantan. He was informed there was a temple in a hill cave in Panching, which is in close proximity to Kuantan. Ir.A.Sivabalan immediately visited Panching cave. Upon arriving he knew this was the location he witnessed in his vision a few months ago. With an enormous spiritual resolve, Ir.A.Sivabalan brought his workers to Charas cave in to renovate the Shiva Temple including erecting a steel staircase structure leading up to the entrance of the cave.

Many devotees have witnessed ‘Shweta Nag’ (white cobra) around the vicinity of this temple, and even on top of the Shivalingam. ‘Shweta Nag’ are supposed to be great devotees of Lord Shiva. This holy cave has a number of natural images, including a five faced ‘naga' (holy snake) on the roof of the cave, with water trickling from its mouth, dripping continuously onto the holy Shivalingam. Also evident is a formation of Lord Ganesha. At present the temple has daily poojas and is open daily from 9.00am to 5.00pm. Celebrated grandly are the twice a month Pradosha fast, and the yearly Maha Shivaratri.
